Another way of getting more natural light into your house is to have an orangery built. This roof was on a house in Bramhall, Cheshire and lets much more light than a conventional rooflight does.

Some orangeries are bigger than others like this one in Wilmslow, Cheshire. The room was given a light and airy feel.
