The roof is plywooded out leaving 3-5mm expansion joins between each board.
All fascia boards are finished level with the plywood roof. A baton is then nailed around the perimeter of the roof.
Trims are cut and fitted accordingly around the roof to create upstands and drips into the gutter.
Trims are nailed to the board incorporating corners and joins.
Pipes and boxes are trimmed out as well.
The bandages for the joins and trims are cut to size ready to be applied with resin.
Once resin is applied and bandage rolled out, they are left to solidify.
Matting is then rolled out and cut to size. This is then stuck to the board and bandaged using resin creating a fully sealed unit.
After the roof is solid, a resin top coat is applied to give the roof its final coat.
We always opt for a dark grey top coat as it weathers better and looks far neater.
The fibreglass roof is finished with a fully insurance backed guarantee of 20 years.
